Improve email marketing outcomes: use perma-linked product offers!

conversions, ecommerce, Marketing, one click ordering, Shopify -

Use Case

Imagine that you are running a 15% off sale on one of your most popular products. You are planning to launch the sale by announcing it to your email list. Interested customers will then have to navigate to your store, add the item to their cart, navigate to the cart, and then checkout.

This tool greatly streamlines that process by allowing interested customers to go straight into a checkout that contains the item, from the email they received from you. If they have an account with you, this will practically enable one-click ordering.

Use these links anywhere, they are fantastic tools for interested customers. More timid shoppers may be turned off by the aggressiveness of this link!

Motivation

This isn't anything new. It's not even recent. It's just poorly advertised. It does remain a great tool that is very easy to implement by store owners and it vastly improves the user experience while decreasing the distance to checkout in the context of email marketing campaigns

Shopify gives you the ability to construct permalinks that build a specified cart when clicked. This is tremendously handy when you are advertising a very specific bundle deal.

This article will provide you with a very simple tool for constructing these links

Usage

Specify below how many unique products you want a URL for (up to a maximum of 10) and click "Begin". Enter your website URL in the indicated space. Next, you'll need to specify the variant IDs you'd like included in the link and the quantity of each.

Click here for more detailed instructions on how to obtain a variant ID.
